Game Design

Aside from being an avid gamer, I occasionally design games with other people. Game design is hard, and these projects are far from perfect, but they represent products of my creative energy that I am proud of.

Color Culture

Color Culture was designed as a museum activity based on the Nevada Art Museum, which has rotating exhibits, and a focus on classes that teach art principles. The goal of the game is to creatively encourage students to explore the relationships of colors and apply them to real life artworks.

3-D Tic-Tac-Toe

I made this game as my first group project for my game design class. The concept is based on the idea that even a simple game like Tic-Tac-Toe can be embued with chance elements that allow for more complex play and strategy.

Bullet & Batch

Bullet & Batch was another group project. It was designed around taking a chance game, like Russian Roulette, and adding in strategic play. We decided to use a Set deck as our base to give players a new experience and make pattern recognition a key point.
